The elliptical mud vibrating screen, also known as the balanced elliptical shale shaker, is a new type of mud shale shaker developed in the early 1980s and has been widely used in the oil drilling industry.

The elliptical motion shale shaker combines the advantages of the linear shale shaker and the circular shale shaker, that is, the elliptical "major axis" enhances the amount of drilling fluid delivery, while the "short axis" can reduce the possibility of blocking the screen holes by part of the drilling fluid.
